The Living Sky School Division (LSKYSD) Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) assist students from kindergarten to grade three to reach their optimum communication potential.
LSKYSD SLPs are experts in the following areas: speech sounds, non-verbal communication, listening, speaking, literacy, social skills, and alternative methods of communication.
Your school’s SLP will:
- Identify students with communication disorders
- Ensure student growth in speech, language, and literacy through small group and/or individual interventions in the school
- Support SLP Educational Assistants (EAs), classroom teachers, and other interventionists
If you have concerns with your child’s communication skills and would like a referral, contact your school’s student services teacher or classroom teacher.
