SkyPlus Learning combines Blended and Place-Based Learning to offer the most flexible learning options for students.
Blended learning is the purposeful integration and alignment of online and in-person components. Online and in-person activities and course materials are selected to complement each other, to engage students and to achieve specified learning outcomes.
Place-based education (PBE) immerses students in local heritage, landscapes, opportunities and experiences, using these as a foundation for the study of language arts, mathematics, social studies, science and other subjects across the curriculum. PBE emphasizes learning through participation in service projects for the local school and/or community."

SkyPlus Learning offers LSKYSD students the following options for learning:

| Courses that are designed to give thorough learning opportunity for a specific topic. Examples include: Leadership, Health & Wellness, Emergency Services Response Training, and more. | Not sure what choices to make? Have a particular interest but value flexibility? You can choose modules that have the same theme - like Digital Production, Agriculture, or Creative Living or choose a mixture of PAA topics to explore multiple skills and areas in one credit. | Do you have a great idea or passion for something not taught in your school? Do you want to make your own ‘course’ and work independently to get a high school credit? You can with the the Brilliance Project. |
